Training to improve the employability of people with mental health problems
At AMAFE, we firmly believe that job placement and job retention are the final step in a person's full recovery. Therefore, we work daily to promote the training and preparation of Employment Department participants to improve their employability.
Below you can see all the training programs we offer through the Department of Employment and Training to improve job placement.

Training for family members and people with first-hand experience
School for families
It's normal to experience uncertainty and lack of understanding about what we've just been told when receiving a diagnosis. AMAFE's Family Schools are characterized by programs consisting of 8 to 10 sessions spread over two months with four key objectives: improving awareness of the disease, optimizing social and community participation in finding resources for loved ones, fostering a more supportive family environment, and reducing the subjective burden on the family.

Training of mutual support agents
“Mutual aid is a way of giving and receiving help based on basic principles of respect, shared responsibility, and mutual agreement about what is helpful.” (Mead, Hilton, and Curtis). Mutual aid groups are based on utilizing the knowledge and experience of those who have experienced various difficulties to help and support others experiencing the same situations.
Therefore, this new training aims to emphasize first-person experience, addressing the processes and associated emotions of the individual or their family in a cross-cutting manner, thereby generating support networks that strengthen the recovery process for individuals and families experiencing psychosis.

AMAFE-Conecta
“AMAFE-Conecta” aims to strengthen the employability and social and labor inclusion of people with mental health problems through training in digital skills, promoting their access to the labor market, and contributing to the construction of a more inclusive and equitable society.
This new AMAFE training program offers more than 40 hours of group and individual training and covers everything from resume editing, job search and management, in-person and online interviewing, and the use of social media for job hunting, among other topics.
AMAFE-Conecta is supported by the Spanish Mental Health Confederation.

Connected
Without a doubt, Information and Communication Technologies have demonstrated great potential for learning, communication, and social inclusion for people with disabilities. Their proper use makes it possible to perform tasks and access services, promoting equal opportunities.
Therefore, Conectad@s, AMAFE's new project, seeks to adapt to a new model of autonomy by embracing digital skills and helping to modernize our actions to improve the recovery and social inclusion processes of participants.
