Multidisciplinary approach for intervention in first outbreaks and

schizophrenia


AMAFE, launches this training aimed at students and professionals between 18 and 35 years old focused on intervention in first outbreaks and schizophrenia. The course, which is completely free, will take place from October 9 to December 11 and will have a total of 40.5 hours of group training which will be taught in a in person. This training is subsidized by the Ministry of Family, Youth, and Social Affairs of the Community of Madrid and supported by Angelini Pharma.

COMPLETE COURSE PROGRAM:


October 9: Presentation and opening of the course


October 16: Psychosis and schizophrenia: basic concepts, symptoms, and signs. Self-care in professional practice.


October 23: Psychological intervention in psychosis and schizophrenia. First-person experience.


October 30th: Importance of occupation. Intervening through occupational therapy.


November 6: Stigma and self-stigma. Rebuilding a positive image through leisure and activity. First-person experiences.


November 13: Family intervention. An important element in comprehensive intervention.


November 20: Mental health care and support network for people with a diagnosis and their families.


November 27: Avoiding biographical rupture: Importance of the training and professional path.


December 4: Perspectives of people with a diagnosis and their families. Experience sharing among the Association's spokespersons.


December 11: Final exam. Presentation of group work. Course satisfaction and evaluation.
